窪田美樹　芸術文化センター作品　Miki Kubota

窪田美樹　1975年　神奈川県生まれ・神奈川県在住
「光源」
彼女の作品は「紙を丸める」「埋める」などのシンプルな行程の繰り返しでできあがります。家具という量感のある物体の表面が印刷された紙になり、それがさらに丸められ、さらに組み合わされた家具に埋められることで物体に戻っていきます。今回は光源から発する光が自己の皮膚を照らし、自身と周囲の環境を一体化させるという新しい展開を見せます。形としては捉えられない「光」が物質化されることで、虚像と実像、表層と内側、そして自己と外部との関係がさらに複雑に現れてきます。

Miki Kubota, born in Kanagawa in 1975, currently residing in Kanagawa
"A Light source"
Kubota creates her works by repeating simple actions such as crumpling
up papers or burying things. The surface of an object -- a furniture
in this case -- is printed on a paper, which is then crumpled and
buried on a furniture put together and thus turning back into an
object. In this exhibition, the light illuminates the skin, which then
links the self and the external environment. By objectifying light,
which can not be grasped as a shape, ties between virtual and real,
surface and inner, and self and external come up complicatedly.

池崎拓也　芸術文化センター作品　Takuya Ikezaki

池崎拓也　1981年　鹿児島県徳之島生まれ　北京・東京在住
「目頭から流れる、空青し、山青し、海青し」
紙、ビニールテープ、布、針金など身近にある可塑的な素材を用いて展開される彼の作品は、海や山々、道路や空が一体となって風景のように立ち現れます。物事の裏と表や、始まりと終わりなど触覚と視覚の曖昧な境界や捉え難い感覚に対する疑問が彼の作品の根底にあります。光の粒子や、皺や襞など、視覚だけでは捉えられない質感は、個人の記憶、つまり時間や空間にも結びつき、彼の世界の地図が生成されます。

Takuya Ikezaki, born in Tokunoshima, Kagoshima in 1981, currently
residing in Beijing/Tokyo
"Blue Sky, Blue Mountain and Blue Sea falling from the Eyes"
Installation works of Takuya Ikezaki deal with elusive sensations or
awarenesses such as blinking lights showing up underneath closed
eyelids and crumpled fabrics by using cheap and daily materials. His
works, composed of common materials such as paper, plastic tapes,
clothes and wires, turn the sea, mountains, roads and sky into one
scenery. The sense of material that can not be grapsed just by
visions, such as light particles, wrinkles and pleats, link with
personal memories like time and space.

清水悟　芸術文化センター作品　Satoru Shimizu

清水悟
「ひかりかがやくものをたべてはいけない」
1980年　福岡県生まれ・東京都在住
建物の壁の模様や雑誌から抜き取ったモチーフの表面をなぞり、こすって紙に転写するという、一見子どもの遊びのような方法で制作しています。本展で現れる衣服のイメージも、建築物の壁も物質的な他者と向き合う仮の皮膚のようであり、永遠に変化し更新し続ける地図のようでもあります。「ひかりかがやく」衣服のイメージを「たべてはいけない」と敢えて禁止するような今回のタイトルは、視覚に頼らず皮膚感覚でイメージを捉える際のズレを強調しているかのようです。

Satoru Shimizu, born in 1980 in Fukuoka, currently residing in Tokyo
"Do not eat shining things"
Shimizu uses a method that resembles children's play by tracing the
surface of motifs found on building walls or magazines onto papers.
The images of clothes and building walls that appear in this
exhibition are similar to artificial skins that face others, and also
resemble maps that forever continue to change and update. The title
that bans the eating of shining clothes seem to emphasize the gap that
occurs when one tries to capture an image with skin senses, rather
than visually.

林加奈子　芸術文化センター作品　kanako hayashi

林加奈子
1981年　大阪生まれ、大分県別府在住
「愛知の風景画 ; バナナ、星、半月、橋」
パズルのピースのように建物の隙間に身体を融け込ませる試みを通じ、街の表面に働きかけることで独特の知覚を浮かび上がらせる作品を制作しています。自分の周りの地図を、自分の知覚で作っていく方法は、子どもが自分のいる場所を認識する際に行う方法に似ていて、表現の本質に向っています。本展で発表する作品では、自らが星や木などの風景＝地図の一部となって、自分自身を街や自然に同化させてできる新しい価値を持った風景を生成しています。

Kanako Hayashi, born in 1981 in Osaka, currently residing in Beppu, Oita
"Landscapes of Aichi ; Banana, Star, Half-moon, Bridge"
By attempting to melt bodies into spaces in between buildings like
puzzle pieces, Hayashi works on the surface of cities and creates
works that bring up a unique consciousness. The method of creating a
map of the environment based on one's consciousness resembles the
process of a child becoming aware of where she is. By turning herself
into stars and trees and becoming a part of a map, Hayashi creates
scenes with a new kind of value in this exhibition that comes from
fitting oneself into cities and nature.
